Saint and Sinner Records, is proud to announce the release of the first single from the new album "I Should Have Known Better". The new single is titled "Right to Bear Arms". Dennis has teamed up again with H2 Productions for this project. "Right to Bear Arms" is the latest single from stone cold country singer Dennis Ledbetter, co-written with Joel Shewmake. Addressing the concerns of many Americans, Ledbetter says, "It's time that people wake up and stop being apathetic about the fact that the politicians are telling us that they are going to take our guns. People need to stand up for our constitutional right to bear arms." Dennis uses spoken word (what we used to call a "recitation" in the days of Porter Wagoner) and emotional vocals underpinned by Hank, Jr.-style slide guitar to trace the history of the 2nd amendment to the US Constitution back to the freedom fighters of the Revolutionary War. "I'd like to see a politician protect this child and wife from a killer with a 45, with just a pocket knife," he sings forcefully. Listeners are urged to "stand strong, keep on fighting," and "keep Old Glory flying in the wind." These are plain words from an authentic country singer with a message many will identify with. A Louisiana native and a lifelong student of country music (the real stuff), Dennis Ledbetter brings a fresh, but achingly familiar voice to the stage and radio airways. The single was released to radio January 22, 2024 and available for sale in all digital formats including CD Baby, Amazon, ITunes, & Google Play. The tune is available on the streaming and download sites Pandora, Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, Deezer, Tidal, and Napster.
